I just had a whirlwind weekend at Quilt Market, a semi annual trade show that isn't open to the public. I love getting to see friends I've met via the internet in person. I made new connections and also met up with most of the members of the quilt bee I am a part of this year. We were able to get out and try a number of great restaurants in Pittsburgh. It is wonderful to be a part of this big quilting community.
Now, on to the books. There are a lot of great new books that are available now or will be coming out soon. Here's a stack of some of my recent purchases plus some that I picked up at market.
Savor Each Stitch: Studio Quilting with Mindful Design by Carolyn Friedlander
Quilting with a Modern Slant: People, Patterns, and Techniques Inspiring the Modern Quilt Community by Rachel May
Beyond Neutral: Quilts Inspired by Nature's Elements By John Adams
Modern Quilt Perspectives: 12 Patterns for Meaningful Quilts by Thomas Knauer
Intentional Printing: Simple Techniques for Inspired Fabric Art by Lynn Krawczyk
Minimal Quiltmaking by Gwen Marston
The Quilter's Applique Workshop: Timeless Techniques for Modern Designs by Kevin Kosbab
Stay tuned for some book reviews in the next few weeks. I can hardly wait to read these.
