A Sunny Day
We finally had a sunny day! It started off sunny and stayed sunny all day.
The chickens even ventured out. They usually just stay in the barn when there is snow on the ground.
They even came over to visit on the front porch.
I hope they enjoyed their day out because we are supposed to get six inches of fresh snow tomorrow night.

Butterfly Basting
I made enough progress on some other projects that I decided to pull out an old WIP. It is pressed and ready for pin basting.
I am eager to have this quilt on my bed! It is so bright and colorful, AND it will actually be big enough to cover the sides of our super thick mattress.
I plan to quilt in in a pretty brown/tan thread with something that looks breezy. I'm not sure what that is yet, though.
Do you have any thoughts on breezy looking quilting designs?

Curry and Cerise
I've been making progress on a variety of projects lately, flitting from one to another without actually finishing them.
I can share this with you, a top I put together this week. I'm quilting it now and will show the finished quilt with you next week.
The fabrics here are Jennifer Paganelli's new Circa line with a bit of Kona Cerise and Curry.

Oceans of Notions
When Megan first asked me to share some of my studio for her Oceans of Notions feature on the Pink Castle Fabrics blog I was a little nervous. My sewing room is far from what I would expect to see in an inspirational storage and studio feature. Megan assured me they are looking for inspirational ideas that anyone can use so I agreed to share.

Tooth Fairy
Miss P lost her first tooth this week. She could hardly believe that she actually lost her tooth and was SOOOO excited for the tooth fairy to come.
edit to add. She didn't lose her tooth after it came out of her mouth. She did put it under her pillow. The tooth fairy DID come. Sorry for any confusion in my excited posting above.

Dear Stella Frame Purses
I was thrilled when Dear Stella asked me to make frame purses from their new line, Piper. Just look at the inspiration for this line. Isn't it delicious? It really has some wonderful rich colors.
