Yesterday the mosquitoes were so thick I didn't want to spend much time outside. Instead I did a little work in my sewing room. I finished off the next pair of blocks for the 8two8 swap. These are for Beth. She wanted the blocks to each be a color. I chose purple for one and blue for the other. I had lots of small scraps of purple and wanted to use those. I also found some pale purple fabric that I hand dyed a few years ago. I used that for the base squares of this block.
The photos make it look a bit more blue than it really is.
I had so much fun doing the swirly bias design on this block that I had to try it again.
Again, I am eager to see what the blocks from everyone look like when they are put together.
I am next on the swap list. I have requested basket blocks in fall colors.
