We are dancing with glee. We can hardly contain our enthusiasm. We can now try our sock patterns without guilt! One sock and we are finished!! If it is a hard or tricky pattern - so what? We only knit one!
A and I got together and knit some swatches. I tend to knit a little tighter than A, so, we determined that if I
knit with needles one size larger than A we get knit fabric of the same
guage. You should have seen the table; there were double pointed
needles and yarn all over the place.
We have worked out some guidelines for our "Two Make a Pair" project.
We will take turns picking a pattern and yarn. The one who picks the pattern and yarn will get to keep the pair of socks.
Now we both have needle cases to keep our needles handy and organized! I changed the design a little from the one I have and may be making some for the shop. These would also be good for storing hair sticks. Well, for people who don't use knitting needles for hair sticks that is.
